Would you like to work at the forefront of technology and contribute to solutions that strengthen training and preparedness within the defense sector? With us, you'll have the opportunity to be an important part of developing advanced training and simulation systems used by defense forces around the world. Here you are offered an exciting role as a production engineer in an innovative company where collaboration, quality, and technical expertise are in focus.
About the Role
As a production engineer, you will be an important part of an operation in an exciting development phase. Production is growing and the department continues to evolve, which means you have the opportunity to influence work methods, processes, and future production solutions.
The role is broad and varied, where you work closely with production to solve technical challenges, support operations in daily work, and drive improvement initiatives. You will become a key person between production, design, and development projects, with a focus on ensuring efficient and robust manufacturing processes.
A large part of the work involves problem-solving. This can range from analyzing deviations and improving workflows to ensuring that newly developed products are producible before reaching production. You will also participate in industrialization projects where you contribute production engineering expertise early in the development phase. Over time, you will have the opportunity to work with different production areas and develop multiple areas of expertise within testing, lean work, production development, or industrialization.
Your main responsibilities:
Work closely with production to solve technical problems and support with deviations
Develop and improve manufacturing processes, tools, and work methods
Review design documentation and implement design changes
Participate in industrialization projects and ensure manufacturability of new products
Create and update production documentation, instructions, and process descriptions
Ensure that the right equipment, tools, and aids are available in production
Contribute to the development of production layouts, flows, and work methods
Support and train production staff on production engineering matters
Department meetings and planning with the team
Alignment with team leaders regarding priorities and current tasks
Meetings with production, quality, logistics, and other support functions
As a production engineer, you will be part of a department that currently consists of approximately 14 people with expertise in production engineering, industrialization, production quality, project management, and lean work.
In the immediate team, five production technicians currently work together with a team leader who leads and distributes daily work. The group is characterized by close collaboration where knowledge sharing and support between colleagues is a natural part of everyday life.
As someone new to the role, you will receive a well-developed introduction with mentoring and support from experienced colleagues. You will progressively take on your own responsibility as you become familiar with the products, processes, and operations.
Your Profile
We are looking for someone with a genuine interest in technology, whether through education, work experience, or personal commitment in your spare time. You thrive in an environment where not all answers are readily available and are motivated by being part of building, improving, and developing the operation over time. As a person, you are calm and analytical in your approach. You like to understand the root cause of problems before acting and enjoy collaborating with many different functions. We also believe that you are service-minded, unpretentious, and enjoy contributing ideas and improvement suggestions.
Requirements:
Post-secondary education in production engineering, mechanical engineering, electronics, or equivalent, or alternatively relevant work experience
Experience with production and manufacturing processes
Familiarity with technical documentation
Good knowledge of Swedish and English, both spoken and written
This assignment is placed in a security class. Prior to employment, you are required to undergo a security clearance and be approved according to applicable security regulations. This may impose requirements for certain citizenship.
Meriting:
Knowledge of electronics and/or mechanics
Experience with MPS systems, such as IFS
Experience with CAD tools such as Siemens NX or similar
Experience from defense, electronics, or other high-tech industry
