Job description
As Production Manager you are responsible for leading assigned building projects with a focus on production, schedule and economics. You work closely with the Project Manager and have a central role on the construction site where you plan, lead and follow up the daily work.
The role involves practical and present leadership. You hold daily pulse meetings, coordinate staff, subcontractors and deliveries and ensure that the project has the right resources. You are also responsible for work preparations, schedules and ensuring that drawings and documents are available in good time.
An important part of the assignment is work environment and safety. You are responsible for the daily work environment, conduct risk assessments and safety rounds, handle incidents and ensure that legal requirements and internal procedures are followed. In case of immediate safety risks, you have the authority to stop work.
You continuously follow up hours, costs and forecasts against budget together with the Project Manager. You report deviations, drive and document change order works as well as ensure correct documentation for invoicing and follow-up.
You also ensure that work is performed according to drawings, contracts and quality plans. This means planning and following up self-inspections, preventing and handling errors, and participating in inspections and final documentation.
As a leader you are the contact person towards the customer, consultants and subcontractors. You create clear communication in the project and ensure that risks and issues are raised in time.
Location Kalmar or Karlskrona. You report to the Project Manager.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with experience in construction production in a corresponding role and who is experienced in taking responsibility for production, time planning and economics. You have a good understanding of building technology and the project's different phases as well as experience working with subcontractors.
You have basic knowledge of contract law, for example AB and ABT, and are confident in following up budgets, time, costs and deviations. Experience of change order handling, work environment activities, self-inspections and inspections is relevant.
As a person you are structured, solution-oriented and responsible. You are a clear leader with good communication skills and enjoy creating momentum on the work site. You have the ability to make decisions, prioritize and speak up in time.
We would like you to have a natural sense of order, are stress-resilient and lead by example in contact with employees, subcontractors and customers.
