About the Swedish Prison and Probation Service The Swedish Prison and Probation Service is expanding – we are building new facilities, renovating existing ones, and expanding our operations. We are now recruiting more staff members. Our most important goal is to reduce reoffending – to break the cycle of crime. When we succeed, society becomes safer and more secure for everyone. We are the authority responsible for prisons, probation services, remand facilities, and prisoner transport. The Probation Service Gothenburg has approximately 300 employees distributed across two offices: Probation Service Gothenburg Rosenlund, located at Rosenlundsplatsen, and Probation Service Gothenburg Ullevi, housed in the Prison and Probation Service building at Rättscentrum and sharing premises with Gothenburg Remand Facility. The position involves work at both offices and you will be active at both Rosenlund and Ullevi. Job Description In the role of process support, you will support probation managers and correctional officers in both short-term and long-term work with assignments, investigations, ongoing operational processes, and follow-up of results. You will also support the recurring annual operational processes. An important part of the role is to analyze operations and, in dialogue with managers and staff, develop proposals for measures and action plans. The role also involves supporting the organization in change management work and participating in local and regional assignments and projects. You will contribute to quality and practice work related to process and quality development and, in dialogue with colleagues, develop proposals for improvement of various work processes. Since the role is new, you will have an important part in developing and shaping the role together with managers based on the organization's needs. We are therefore looking for someone who is motivated by building and further developing working methods and who enjoys developing in a role that will take shape over time. Qualifications For the role of process support, we are looking for someone who is proactive, self-directed, goal and results-oriented, and has strong communication and pedagogical skills. As a person, you take responsibility for your tasks, see what needs to be done, and drive the work forward. You are organized and have the ability to prioritize and plan your work based on the organization's mission, goals, and needs. You also have a strategic approach and see the bigger picture. You have the ability to see the long-term significance of different issues and adapt your actions based on the organization's needs and conditions. You express yourself well in Swedish both verbally and in writing. For you to thrive and succeed in your assignment, it is important that you share the Prison and Probation Service's core values of a humanistic view of people, respect for individuals, and belief in human development. You are also aware of and understand how background, culture, and group affiliation affect both yourself and others. Furthermore, you are expected to contribute through your approach to ensuring that everyone is treated fairly. We place great emphasis on personal suitability. We are looking for someone who has: Bachelor's degree (180 credits) with a focus on quality management, public administration, political science, law, or behavioral science, or alternatively another academic degree combined with relevant work experience. Experience in developing action plans and development plans Experience with investigation, follow-up, and analytical work Good Swedish language skills, both spoken and written It is also advantageous to have: Experience with quality management, change management, or implementation of new or modified assignments Knowledge and experience in managing, leading, and maintaining processes with multiple stakeholders Experience from probation service operations, or alternatively other relevant work experience that the Prison and Probation Service deems equivalent Other Information The Swedish Prison and Probation Service has chosen to remove the cover letter requirement and replace it with selection questions relevant to the position.
