Company Description Vattenfall is one of Europe's largest producers and retailers of electricity and heat. Our main markets are Sweden, Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, and the United Kingdom. Within the Vattenfall Group, there are approximately 21,000 employees. We have electrified industries, delivered energy to homes, and transformed life through innovation for over a hundred years. Forsmarks nuclear power plant is one of Sweden's largest electricity producers, generating one-sixth of the electricity consumed in Sweden. Nuclear power has very low fossil emissions and is a stable, weather-independent power source. Since 1980, our three production facilities have delivered climate-smart electricity every day, year-round. Forsmark currently employs approximately 1,200 people and is part of the Vattenfall Group, which operates in a European labor market with fantastic development opportunities for our employees. Our workplace is beautifully located along the scenic Roslagskusten coast. About the Role Would you like to contribute to Sweden's electricity supply? Forsmarks Kraftgrupp is now seeking a process engineer for one of the following areas: electrical power, safety analyses, or core and fuel within reactor safety. The Safety and Quality Department works to scrutinize, support, and interpret requirements related to radiation safety. The department serves as support to the company's CEO regarding radiation safety matters. The aim is to ensure that Forsmark complies with safety requirements with a margin and that we are driving safety development at the company in terms of technology, operations, and culture. You will work within the Radiation Safety unit, whose mission is to, together with other units in the safety department, drive the development and maintenance of reactor safety, radiation protection, and physical security at Forsmark. This is primarily done through independent radiation safety reviews and safety assessments of operational decisions. You will have ongoing contact with authorities and build a broad network, both within the Vattenfall Group and externally. The work will give you a good overview of operations and the safety structure of the facilities. Requirements We are looking for someone with a polytechnic degree, a civil engineering degree, or equivalent competence, either through other education or relevant work experience. You have solid knowledge of nuclear power plant design, operation, and maintenance. Experience working with nuclear power-related matters is a major advantage. The role requires collaboration, quality, and adherence to procedures. We value qualities such as responsibility, clarity, and flexibility. You thrive when working together with others and enjoy sharing your knowledge, thereby contributing to the team's development. To succeed in this role, you need strong communication skills and fluency in both Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
