We are seeking an experienced process engineer who wants to combine deep energy technology expertise with analysis, process development, and sustainable energy solutions. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES In your role as a process engineer, you will work to analyze, develop, and optimize production processes within district heating and district cooling. You will have an important function between production, operations, technology and development, working both strategically and operationally to improve the company's technical performance. Your main responsibilities include: Monitor and analyze operational and process data from production facilities Identify and implement measures for increased energy efficiency, availability, and production optimization Analyze temperatures, flows, pressures, energy balances, and other key process parameters Develop and optimize processes for production and distribution of district heating and district cooling Lead and participate in technical development and investment projects Produce statistics, key performance indicators, reports, forecasts, and technical decision support materials Work with development of digital system support, control, monitoring, and process tracking Investigate process deviations and identify underlying causes Contribute to technical feasibility studies and evaluation of new production and energy solutions Contribute to development of work methods, process documentation, and technical instructions Support and train the operations organization on process and energy technical matters Ensure that technical solutions are developed with consideration for environmental requirements, safety, and applicable regulations The role requires understanding of the entire energy system - from production and combustion to distribution, heat exchange, control, and delivery to the customer. PERSONAL QUALITIES AND QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone with strong technical and analytical abilities who enjoys understanding how complex energy systems work together. You can move from large datasets and technical problems to concrete improvement measures. To succeed in the role, you must have: University or civil engineering degree in for example energy, mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemical engineering, or equivalent relevant technical education Several years of relevant work experience within district heating, district cooling, combined heat and power, or similar energy production Documented technical understanding of district heating and/or district cooling systems Experience with process analysis and optimization of energy production Understanding of the interaction between production, distribution, and energy demand Ability to analyze operational data and work systematically with key performance indicators and technical decision support materials Good knowledge of Swedish and English B-class driver's license It is meritorious with knowledge in: Combustion technology and biofuel-based heat production SCADA, automation, and control systems Heat exchangers, pumps, hydraulics, and distribution systems Flue gas cleaning and energy recovery Production planning and energy optimization Project management and investment projects Environmental legislation and regulatory requirements related to energy production As a person, you are analytical, structured, and solution-oriented. You take initiative, drive matters forward, and can communicate advanced technical issues clearly.
