to the position of Probation Specialist at the Talsi Branch
of the Kurzeme Region Territorial Unit
(1 vacancy for an indefinite period)
Main duties of the position:
monitor conditionally sentenced, conditionally released before the end of sentence, conditionally released from criminal liability persons and persons to whom probation supervision has been imposed (includes person supervision and organization of social support, including visiting probation clients at their place of residence at night, together with colleagues);
organize execution of community service as a criminal sentence and community service as a corrective compulsory measure;
prepare assessment reports upon request from the court, prosecutor, or administration of a deprivation of liberty institution;
manage probation programs;
organize and participate in inter-institutional meetings;
prepare submissions to court and represent the State Probation Service in court.
Requirements for candidates:
compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law;
higher academic or second level professional higher education;
good cooperation and communication skills;
knowledge of document management matters;
understanding of criminal sentence execution matters;
good Latvian language proficiency in speech and writing;
ability to use information and communication technologies;
ethics, client orientation, analytical thinking, independence, results-oriented approach;
desired B category driver's license.
We offer you:
monthly salary from 1247.00 EUR to 1492.00 EUR (before tax payment) in accordance with evaluation of individual monthly salary determination criteria;
supplement of 20% of monthly salary for work (service) related to special risk;
35-hour work week;
vacation allowance up to 50%;
additional vacation up to 9 working days, depending on work performance evaluation;
