Engagement If you are ready for new challenges, want to use your knowledge and experience, gain professional experience in state administration while contributing to strengthening public safety in Latvia, you are invited to join the State Probation Service team by applying for the position of Probation Specialist Jūrmala Department, Riga West Region territorial unit (1 vacancy for an indefinite period) Main job responsibilities: Supervise conditionally sentenced, conditionally released from serving a sentence, conditionally released from criminal liability individuals, and persons subject to the criminal sanction of probation supervision (including monitoring individuals and organizing social support, including visiting probation clients at their place of residence during nighttime hours together with colleagues); Organize the execution of the criminal sanction of community service and the execution of the educational coercive measure of community service; Prepare assessment reports upon request from the court, prosecutor, or administration of the deprivation of liberty institution; Conduct probation programs; Organize and participate in inter-institutional meetings; Prepare submissions to the court and represent the State Probation Service in court. Requirements for applicants: Compliance with the requirements of Article 7 of the State Civil Service Law; Higher academic or second-level professional higher education; Good cooperation and communication skills; Knowledge in document management; Understanding of criminal sanctions execution issues; Excellent Latvian language proficiency, both spoken and written; Ability to use information and communication technologies; Ethical conduct, client-oriented approach, analytical thinking, independence, results-oriented approach; Desired: Category B driver's license.
