What You'll Be Part Of Praktiska Gymnasiet Täby offers students a concept where theory alternates with practical exercises both at school and in workplace settings. The school currently has approximately 200 students and about 25 employees. As a school counselor at Täby Praktiska, you'll work in a pleasant workplace as part of a student health team where you're an important piece of the puzzle. You will work collaboratively with other professionals at the school and within the student health team to provide preventive and health-promoting support at the individual, group, and organizational levels. To thrive with us, you have a genuine interest and willingness to support students in achieving their school goals from an inclusive perspective. You are a trustworthy person who works well with both small and larger groups of students and staff. What We're Looking For We seek someone with a sociology degree or equivalent higher education. You have documented knowledge and experience in supportive work with young people. You also have knowledge and experience collaborating with other functions and authorities within social services and the region. It is important that you can work independently with a comprehensive perspective on operations, and you are expected to have strong teamwork abilities. Previous experience as a school counselor is a merit. Great emphasis will be placed on your personal qualities such as social competence, flexibility, and collaboration skills. You take an active role in social settings and maintain good contact with students in their environment. You have good professional relationships with students, guardians, and staff, as well as with authorities. The position also requires good documentation habits. The position is 20%, which means you will work one day per week. We will agree together on which day of the week.
