Together we create value every day. You will work within the Employment Unit, which is organized under the Municipal Administration in Åstorp Municipality. The Employment Unit's operational goal is to offer meaningful employment and to help guide participants toward the open job market or education. This job is right for you if: You have worked practically in parks, gardens, or property maintenance You enjoy taking responsibility and planning daily work You are comfortable working outdoors in all kinds of weather You want to combine practical work with helping people move toward employment or studies. Duties As a work supervisor, you lead a group of participants who are far from the job market. You plan, allocate, and follow up on daily work while coaching and motivating participants. A large part of the work takes place outdoors and consists of practical tasks such as: Park and green space maintenance Garden work Basic property maintenance Other service assignments for the municipality You are responsible for ensuring that work is performed safely and with quality and that participants develop toward increased independence and work capacity. Beyond the practical work, you are responsible for planning and leading daily operations, motivating and coaching both individuals and groups, and documenting participants' development and progress. You collaborate with colleagues and other authorities to create good conditions for participants' development. The role also includes responsibility for vehicles, tools, and ensuring that work is conducted safely and with quality. Who are we looking for? We are looking for someone who is confident, clear in communication, and has a solution-focused approach. You are self-motivated, responsible, and comfortable with practical work. You have the ability to plan and structure your work, make independent decisions, and take responsibility for tasks being completed. You are a natural leader who creates engagement and have a knack for motivating and inspiring people, including those who need extra support and motivation. You treat others with respect, clarity, and a coaching approach. You have strong faith in people's ability to develop and take steps toward self-sufficiency. Qualifications High school education Practical experience from gardening, parks/streets, green space maintenance, property maintenance, or similar work Experience supervising or leading workers Driver's license category B Good computer skills and experience with Microsoft 365 Good ability to express yourself in Swedish both orally and in writing It is an advantage if you have Experience from employment services, municipality, or similar Chainsaw certification, hot work, work on roads Multilingualism Why apply with us With us you get varied work where you combine practical work with the opportunity to make a real difference for people on their way toward self-sufficiency.
