To our community development department, we are now looking for committed interns for the spring term 2027 who will be part of our work in the social sustainability unit. We focus on areas such as human rights, public health, crime prevention, integration, gender equality, national minorities and intimate partner violence. We work closely with various actors such as municipalities, regions, government agencies and civil society organizations to promote regional development and collaboration.
Content of the Internship
As an intern with us, you will work together with one of our social sustainability strategists, but you will also be part of the unit. You will have the opportunity to participate in daily work with various forms of environmental monitoring, networking, analytical work and much more. You will also participate in various projects and activities within the unit's areas.
In addition to gaining insight into the county administrative board's overall work, governance and management and how a government agency operates, you will assist with various administrative tasks but also have your own work area where, with support from your internship supervisor, you will perform analytical work based on the following task:
Cross-Municipal Crime Prevention Measures
The task involves participating in the county administrative board's regional mandate within the framework of crime prevention coordination, which also includes BOB (children and youth in organized crime), exit assistance coordination and crime prevention parenting support. In addition, as an intern you will perform independent work based on municipal situation reports in Kronoberg County to develop a regional situation report and identify and propose possible cross-municipal crime prevention measures.
This is an opportunity for you if you:
are a full-time student at an educational institution with at least 1.5 years of academic basic education, preferably at bachelor level or alternatively at master level
are studying political science, criminology, sociology, law, statistics, evaluation and analysis or another cross-sectional focus in your education
have good ability to communicate orally and in writing in Swedish. If you also have knowledge of English, other languages and national minority languages, that is an advantage.
As a person, you are independent and analytical, like to take initiative and are interested in working with social sustainability from a public perspective.
The internship period should last 10–20 weeks and be part of a full-time academic program in spring 2027. To be able to intern with us, you need to be insured through your educational institution throughout the entire internship period.
