Postdoctoral Researcher in Quantitative Characterization of Multivalent Binding

About the Position We are seeking a postdoctoral researcher interested in developing new methods to measure multivalent binding—the mechanism that allows antibodies and many modern drugs to bind to multiple target molecules simultaneously. Established binding assays capture this poorly, which limits the ability to predict how such molecules behave. The project combines DNA nanotechnology with amplification and sequencing-based readouts. You will use programmable DNA nanostructures to present target molecules at controlled nanometer-scale distances and develop assays that quantify how binders interact with them. The work is method development with applications in mind and takes place in close collaboration with the group's experimental and computationally-oriented colleagues in the Department of Gene Technology, KTH/SciLifeLab. Qualifications Required Completed PhD or a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a PhD. This qualification requirement must be fulfilled by the time the employment decision is made. Documented experience with quantitative molecular biology methods, such as qPCR, digital PCR, or DNA sequencing. Excellent knowledge of English, spoken and written, as this is the research group's daily working language.
