Postdoctoral Researcher in Cardiology

The position is funded by resources from the Ländell Foundation for Medical Research (91143). The position will be placed at an institution within the Faculty of Medicine. Duties Conduct independent research. Eligibility Requirements To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, the applicant must have completed a doctoral degree or hold a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. The degree should have been completed no more than three years before the application deadline. If there are special circumstances, the doctoral degree may have been completed earlier. Special circumstances include parental leave, leave due to illness, positions of trust within trade union organizations, service in the armed forces or other similar circumstances, or clinical work or work relevant to the subject area or assignments. An individual employed as a postdoctoral researcher may not have previously been employed as a postdoctoral researcher at Uppsala University within the same or related subject area for more than one year. Selection Criteria When selecting among eligible applicants, particular emphasis will be placed on research merits within cardiology. Personal suitability will be considered important. Following a qualitative overall assessment of competence and skill, applicants will be selected based on who are assessed to have the best prerequisites to carry out and develop the current duties and contribute to developing the operations.
