Your Tasks You will work in an international research environment and mainly with the following tasks: Lead an experimental human study investigating the effects of temporal interference stimulation targeting the amygdala on affective processing. Work closely with other members of the research group and supervise students and research assistants. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will primarily conduct research. Teaching may also be part of your duties, but no more than one-fifth of your working time. Your Qualifications To be eligible for employment as a postdoctoral researcher, you must have completed a doctoral degree or hold a foreign degree assessed as equivalent to a doctoral degree. Your degree must be completed by the time the employment decision is made. It is meritorious if your degree was completed no more than three years before the application deadline for this position. If there are special reasons, it may be considered if the doctoral degree was completed earlier, for example due to various types of statutory leave. We are looking for you with the following experience and knowledge: Documented and extensive competence in planning and leading experimental human studies within affective and social neuroscience Experience with neuromodulation techniques, particularly temporal interference Experience with psychophysiological measurement methods, particularly eye-tracking Documented competence in statistical modeling of behavioral and psychophysiological data from human studies Knowledge and experience in affective neuroscience, with particular focus on the human amygdala Knowledge and experience in substance use disorder, including alcohol use disorder Very good competence in statistical software, preferably R Very good ability to express yourself scientifically in writing Experience in supervising students Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written As a person, you are a self-starter with well-developed communication skills. You are responsible, engaged, and able to work independently. You also have good teamwork skills and enjoy working in a team. Great weight will be placed on personal qualities and suitability. CSAN brings together research groups in adult psychiatry, child and adolescent psychiatry, neurobiology, clinical neurophysiology, and neuroeconomics. About the Position This is a time-limited employment for two years with the possibility of extension for a total employment period of no more than three years. The postdoctoral position is full-time. Start date: 261001.
