Grönländaren Lodge is a refuge for larger groups, adventure-seeking families and companies that want to explore Funäsfjällen year-round. Located right between the Funäsdalen and Tänndalen ski resorts, the Lodge is surrounded by magnificent nature. Whether you're longing for hiking, cycling, cross-country skiing or snowmobile tours, your adventure starts right outside the door. Snowmobile trails and cross-country ski tracks take you directly from the lodge to Sweden's longest groomed trails. We are looking for a Site Manager for this wonderful place Welcome to Funäsfjällen ABOUT US We are a family business that today primarily owns and manages properties but has its origins in industry. Today the 3rd and 4th generations are active in the companies and the 5th is on the way (approximately 15 years left). The family is passionate about two places in Sweden in particular: the mountain region and the Stockholm archipelago. When the opportunity to acquire Grönländaren was presented to us, it was impossible for us not to seize the opportunity and the potential we saw. THE ROLE As Site Manager for Grönländaren Lodge, you are responsible for operations and property management, including a hostel where the Lodge is the heart. Spacious and comfortable accommodation for larger groups and families with a total of 22 beds distributed across 9 bedrooms, sauna, kitchen and large common areas. You will work with sales and marketing and become the local contact person with the destination organization Funäsfjällen, in close collaboration with other business owners and entrepreneurs to together elevate the Funäsfjällen destination. We are looking for a resourceful, versatile person who can handle situations on the ground, roll up your sleeves, prepare for and meet guests' various needs and wishes. We offer freedom with responsibility. It is a unique role with the opportunity to influence future investments in the operation. ABOUT YOU This could be your first real management role and responsibility. Then we can let your hunger test its wings. You could also be an entrepreneurial couple who wants to "come home" to Funäsdalen after assignments elsewhere. It's an advantage if you enjoy the activities connected to the business, such as hunting and fishing, snowmobile rentals, hiking and skiing. Maybe you've been a guide, facility manager, chef, event coordinator or run a restaurant with the above-mentioned interests? An entrepreneur rooted in reality with an understanding of business and economics. Local roots are an advantage as we value mutual collaboration with other companies within the tourism industry at the destination. Education and studies: You probably know yourself what is required for a role like this. RESPONSIBILITIES As Site Manager you are responsible for the destination as a whole. The role involves preserving the history and leading the business forward. You will be an important part of our expansion. Your energy and commitment are needed everywhere to lead the operation both strategically and operationally. Sales, marketing and putting together attractive experience packages—not just "renting out nights." From daily guest service where we exceed our guests' already high expectations, to gradually increasing occupancy, to commercial growth and management of the unique properties.
