NCC has been commissioned by Akademiska Hus to undertake a comprehensive transformation of Luleå University of Technology. The assignment is unique and spans the entire chain – from dismantling and demolition of existing buildings to construction of entirely new environments. Everything happens in parallel in a technically complex project where reuse and sustainability play a crucial role. The Site Manager Role You will initially step into the role of block manager in a large and complex campus project. In this role, you have overall responsibility for leading and coordinating your part of the project, in close collaboration with the rest of the project team. Together, you ensure efficient production in a project characterized by high technical demands and a strong sustainability focus. Your role involves leading, monitoring, and ensuring – in close cooperation with contractors and partners – that work progresses in a safe, structured, and efficient manner. You are responsible for ensuring that production within your block is delivered according to schedule, budget, and applicable laws and regulations. You will have support from NCC's established support functions, such as project engineer, estimator, purchaser, and design manager. On matters related to quality, environment, and sustainability, you will also collaborate with our specialists in KMA, Technical, and Sustainability. About the Building Norrland Department We build and renovate both commercial and public buildings as well as residential properties throughout Norrland, from Sundsvall in the south to Luleå in the north. The department consists of approximately 200 dedicated employees, both salaried and skilled workers, who together drive projects forward with a focus on sustainable and long-term solutions. Your Profile as Site Manager You have a construction engineering education or equivalent practical experience. You may be early in your career or be more senior and currently work as a work supervisor or site manager in new construction or renovation/modernization. Experience from complex projects and leading production in collaboration with multiple parties is an asset. Most importantly for us is that you are organized, engaged, and have a genuine interest in leadership, and want to work with projects from a clear sustainability perspective. As a leader, you are present in day-to-day work, maintain ongoing dialogue with the client, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, and ensure that workplace safety, security, and environmental requirements are always prioritized. You are accustomed to taking overall responsibility for projects, including coordination of personnel, finances, and production. You have good knowledge of: project planning, contract and construction law, estimates, and financial follow-up. You speak and write fluent Swedish and English. A valid driver's license is required. Additional Information This is a permanent position with placement in Luleå. The position will be subject to a background check in accordance with NCC's security culture.
