About the Role We're looking for a Platform Engineer for their Infrastructure team in Gothenburg. You'll be part of a team that develops, builds, and maintains the internal products, services, and platforms that power the company's entire technical infrastructure. The role spans backend systems, cloud infrastructure, internal tools, and build/release processes. You'll work on both modernizing existing systems and entirely new initiatives—always focused on enabling product teams to deliver exceptional user experiences. Work takes place from their beautiful office on the 20th floor of the Kineum skyscraper in Gothenburg, where close collaboration and technical excellence are priorities. Your Responsibilities Develop and maintain high-quality backend systems in Python built for scalability and performance Develop and support internal web-based systems used by teams across the organization Design, deploy, and operate cloud architectures from the ground up including monitoring and observability Own data transformations such as migrations, restructuring, and integrations Improve and develop build and release processes including CI/CD pipelines Contribute to larger technical initiatives such as system migrations, refactoring, and modernizing legacy services Collaborate closely with other developers to ensure shared systems remain healthy, secure, and reliable Write well-tested, maintainable code of high quality Qualifications At least 3 years of professional software development experience Strong experience with Python Experience building backend systems that handle high load, ideally with FastAPI Hands-on experience designing, setting up, and deploying cloud architectures from scratch including monitoring and alerting, preferably on Google Cloud Hands-on experience setting up CI/CD workflows, preferably GitHub Actions Experience performing large-scale refactoring and system modernization Good testing skills and experience with automated testing Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, or related field, or equivalent experience Fluent English, spoken and written Meritorious: Experience with infrastructure as code, preferably Terraform Experience with NoSQL databases, ideally Google Datastore Experience with web development, with React or Next.js as a plus Experience with native mobile development including Swift for iOS or Kotlin for Android Knowledge of data engineering workflows Experience supporting and facilitating team development Experience with RESTful APIs About You You thrive solving deep technical challenges that have real impact.
