Vestas is looking for a Plant Technical Support Engineer, Specialist (m/f/d)! Region NCE and Global Offshore > NCE > Technical Operations North Technical Operations is part of Service NCE (Northern & Central Europe) and supports the organization in installing and servicing a large number of SCADA systems that control medium and large-sized wind power plants. Our mission is to transform a group of wind turbines into a fully operational power plant that meets contractual and regional specifications. Our customers are mainly found among larger power supply companies and professional investors. Responsibilities As a Specialist for Plant Operations, you will be the technical anchor for the entire department. You will report to the Director and contribute to the strategy and technical agenda. • Have an overview of new products coming from R&D and be part of operational implementation • Engage in technical escalations and risks to our business • Serve as the anchor point for our 4 technical communities, ensuring initiatives are aligned and create value for the business • Stakeholder engagement; be part of global and regional communities • Provide input to management on technical gaps, prioritization, and regional risks Qualifications We are looking for candidates who have demonstrated leadership experience in a technical environment. For this position, your technical skills will matter less than your ability to see synergies, align stakeholders, and guide the technical agenda to add value to the business. You will be part of an operational department, but you will be the one with the helicopter view. • Educational background in Information Technology, Automation, or Telecommunications • Solid leadership skills, either as a project manager or people leader • Knowledge of the wind industry; experience with SCADA systems would be valued • Fluency in English, both orally and in writing Competencies • Great communication skills; ability to explain complex technical topics in a simple way • Professional stakeholder management skills • Ability to work independently and set direction for a team What We Offer We offer an exciting job with great opportunities for professional and personal development in an inspiring, collaborative, and international work environment in the renewable energy sector.
