The City Management Office of Gothenburg is the administration of the City Council and City Assembly. The office's mission is to support the City Council in leading, coordinating, and following up on Gothenburg's operations, finances, and other strategic planning.
Would you like to help develop the municipality's work against organized crime and criminal economy? We are now seeking a planning manager who can combine operational and tactical skills with strategic development work.
Work Tasks
Together with the department's 13 employees, you will work at the intersection of analysis, collaboration, and operations development. The assignment involves contributing to the municipality's comprehensive work in crime prevention and security, with a special focus on organized crime and criminal economy. As a planning manager, you are responsible for driving and coordinating these issues and need to be able to switch between tactical operations planning and long-term strategic work to develop the municipality's capacity in the area.
In your role as planning manager, you will contribute to the preparation of decision-making materials for the City Council and City Assembly, as well as executing special assignments. Important starting points for the assignment include the Law on Municipalities' Responsibility for Crime Prevention Work and the cooperation agreement between Gothenburg and the Greater Gothenburg police district.
The department coordinates and drives development within the work area and implements governing documents such as security and crime prevention programs and action plans. This includes responsibility for developing the city's situation assessments and supporting municipal administrations and companies in the area. The work is based on a knowledge-based approach that involves systematically and structurally mapping and analyzing problems as well as identifying risks and opportunities.
Qualifications
You will;
Develop strategies, work methods, and development proposals for the municipality's continued work.
Contribute to situation assessments, analyses, and decision-making materials.
Collaborate with internal operations and external authorities and actors.
Plan, coordinate, and lead initiatives related to organized crime and criminal economy.
Support the development and implementation of governing documents, action plans, and collaboration forms.
Work in a knowledge-based manner through mapping, analysis, and identification of risks and vulnerabilities.
Follow developments in the environment and represent the municipality in relevant networks and collaboration forums.
The work encompasses issues such as welfare fraud, criminal economy, undue influence, and other aspects related to organized crime.
Who Are You?
We are looking for someone who is self-driven, analytical, and has high integrity. You are confident in independently driving complex issues forward and have the ability to create structure and direction even in changing circumstances.
Basic Requirements;
Experience working in crime prevention, organized crime, security issues, or similar areas.
Experience working with criminal economy or welfare fraud.
Very good security awareness.
Very good ability to work both operationally and strategically.
Experience collaborating with various actors and operations.
Very good ability to express yourself in speech and writing in Swedish.
