Jenny Nyströmskolan is one of the upper secondary schools in Kalmarsund Upper Secondary School Association and has just over 900 students distributed across six different national programs and three introductory programs. Within Jenny Nyströmskolan there is also an adapted upper secondary school. DUTIES We are seeking an engaged and confident manager who will have personnel responsibility for our educational assistants in the national programs at Jenny Nyströmskolan's adapted upper secondary school in Kalmar. As Planning Director at the adapted upper secondary school, you are responsible for leading and developing the work of educational assistants in national programs. The position includes, for example, overall responsibility for administration, digital systems, and school transportation. You will become part of the school's management group together with the principal, program director, and planning director for individual programs. Together we will work closely, with a shared focus on creating the best possible conditions for students' development, learning, and well-being. You also participate in the student welfare team meetings that take place with students in national programs. The assignment includes: • Being manager for educational assistants • Being manager for the administrator • Guiding and supporting staff in daily work • Responsibility for specially adapted school transportation • Contributing to the school's systematic quality work • Collaborating with other functions within and outside the school QUALIFICATIONS We are looking for someone who is a confident and clear leader with the ability to create structure, engagement, and good relationships. You have relevant higher education, such as a degree in social work, behavioral science, or equivalent. It is an advantage if you have previously had managerial responsibility for educational assistants or care assistants, as a large part of the work involves leading this professional group in their role with students. It is also an advantage if you have collaborated with rehabilitation services, social services, and child and adolescent psychiatry in professional contexts.
