In your role as a planning architect, you will work with physical planning according to the Planning and Building Act. Detailed planning is a central and prioritized task within the unit, but we would also appreciate if you have experience with comprehensive planning, which may also become part of your responsibilities. It is important to us that we work together, share our expertise, and support one another. This ensures good results and strong collaboration both within and outside the municipal organization. Depending on your background, we will together assess how best to utilize your skills to create quality built environments for Mora Municipality. After discussion with your manager, there may be an opportunity to work remotely one day per week, but we expect that most of the work will take place in the office in Mora. Responsibilities In your role as a planning architect, you will have overall responsibility for the entire planning process. You will develop and manage comprehensive and detailed plans and drive your own projects, from preliminary work through the planning phase and implementation. You will prepare investigations, analyses, and be responsible for preparing plan proposals in consultation with other departments, authorities, consultants, citizens, and developers. The role also includes sketch work, investigations, and preparation of formal plans. In this role, you will serve as an advisor on planning matters both internally and externally, answer questions from residents, present matters to elected officials, and participate in operational development. Qualifications We are looking for someone with an academic degree in physical planning, architecture, landscape architecture, surveying, urban planning, or equivalent education, combined with at least one year of experience as a planning architect. We see that you have experience in project management, applying the Planning and Building Act and Environmental Code, and good knowledge of urban development. You have strong communication skills in Swedish, both verbally and in writing. As a person, you are analytical, communicative, and well-organized with the ability to oversee processes and maintain a holistic perspective. You are committed, flexible, and enjoy driving improvement and development work. You are also self-directed, take responsibility for your own work, and are curious and attentive when working with others to achieve organizational goals. We place great importance on your personal suitability. You are results-oriented and take initiative for development, meeting new challenges and conditions with a positive attitude. As a person, you are service-oriented and collaborate easily both within your own organization and with elected officials and the public. The work is conducted in close collaboration with others in the urban development process, so collaboration skills are an important quality. We would also appreciate if you have knowledge of programs such as AutoCAD, GIS, and digital plan preparation, preferably in Focus Detaljplan. It is an advantage if you have worked with complex issues in a politically led organization. Other Information This position may involve travel, so a valid driver's license (category B) is required. You have the ability to communicate clearly in Swedish, both orally and in writing.
