Strömsund Municipality's cultural school currently has six teachers and approximately 420 students in subject courses plus music activities for young children. We currently offer instruction in various instruments, voice, animation, music production, and dance. Together with our students, we are part of the municipality's cultural activities and offer our residents joy and a richer cultural life. The municipality's geographic size means that the position involves considerable travel by car. 1 position(s). DUTIES We are now looking for someone who is passionate about providing top-quality piano and voice instruction to our cultural school students. You will work together with the rest of the cultural school staff. Your duties include: • Independently plan and conduct your instruction • Meet students from different backgrounds and with different circumstances • Lead, motivate, and educate students in piano and voice • Work with other staff to plan and implement various projects on behalf of the cultural school We offer: • An open work environment where you have the freedom to develop with us • Inspired students who are waiting for new challenges • Close collaboration with primary school and cultural and leisure activities Since the municipality is geographically large, you will also experience many wonderful views between our schools QUALIFICATIONS Relevant education from a music conservatory or other education or work experience deemed equivalent. • Teaching experience as a piano teacher and voice pedagogue. • Good skills in Swedish language, both spoken and written. • Knowledge of using digital tools for communication and student management. You should be self-directed, able to take own initiative, and have a strong ability to collaborate, as well as a great interest in working with children and young people. If you also have an additional secondary instrument or knowledge of other cultural expressions, that is a bonus we would like to hear more about. Driver's license Category B and access to your own car. Employment type: Permanent position. Duration: 6 months or longer, start date: 2026-09-01 or by agreement, end date: 2027-08-31.
