WORK DUTIES In your role, you will work with individuals who have decisions regarding personal assistance. The position involves standard personal assistance work with people with speech impairments and people with significant care needs. Working hours vary depending on the workplace. More information about this will be provided during the interview. Your work duties include, for example: Provide personal support that gives the person with a disability increased opportunities for an independent life. Be a support for the individual and be available in different situations, at different times of day. Support and help the individual with most things in a varied and challenging assignment. QUALIFICATIONS We are primarily looking for someone who is a nursing assistant or has other education or experience that the employer deems relevant, but we place the greatest weight on your personal suitability. Previous experience working with individuals with neuropsychiatric disabilities, psychiatric diagnoses, speech disorders, low-affect interaction, and LSS is a merit. We also hope that you have basic knowledge of cooking and other household tasks. For this role to be a good fit, we also believe you are: Flexible: Since you may work with multiple individuals, you need to be flexible in your approach and able to adapt to the needs of the operation. Self-driven: You take responsibility for your tasks, structure your approach on your own, and drive your processes forward. Collaboration-oriented: You work well with other people, are receptive, and communicate and resolve conflicts in a constructive manner. Stable: You are calm and handle stressful situations in a stable way. Empathetic: You are attentive to individuals' needs and emotional state without taking on the individual's feelings. Great weight is placed on personal suitability. ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT AND WORKPLACE The Support and Care Section is responsible for activities within the municipality that are directed at individuals with various forms of physical and mental disabilities. Our section operates residences, residential support, daily activities, personal assistance, companion services, etc. Support and Care is part of the Healthcare and Social Services Department.
