About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for People with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves protecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and helping to ensure the day runs smoothly. Each assistance assignment is uniquely adapted based on the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a woman in her 70s living in Tenhult, approximately 20 minutes outside Jönköping. The client's individual needs guide the workday, and the work may include assistance with mobility, personal care, exercise and communication, as well as household chores and activities inside and outside the home. With this woman, it's important to have strong initiative and self-drive combined with great attentiveness to her daily form and the ability to shift between activity and quieter moments. We appreciate if you are positive, energetic, cheerful, and physically active. A relaxed personality with a sense of humor suits the client. We would like you to be interested in participating in her leisure activities, which include pool training, theater, spa, and painting. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant makes high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it's important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. For this position, you must have: the ability to travel to the client's rural home in Tenhult a B-class driver's license and access to your own car good knowledge of Swedish good physical fitness to help with household chores and garden work such as lawn mowing, snow clearing, weeding, wood handling, and more swimming ability and the ability to participate in pool training For this position, it is advantageous if you have: experience with similar work experience with varying energy and pain levels on a daily basis Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment is "For the duration of the assistance assignment" with an employment level of approximately 78.75%. In addition to scheduled working hours, there is the possibility to work extra as needed. Working hours are daytime, 08:00-17:00, according to a rolling four-week schedule where shifts are distributed in blocks of a maximum of 3 consecutive workdays. Shifts vary on weekdays and weekends; you will work every other weekend. We are also looking for those interested in working as a temporary hourly assistant. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective bargaining agreement. Start date October 1st or by agreement.
