Description
We are seeking personal assistants for two different cases in the Jönköping area:
• A girl in her early teens with physical disabilities.
• A teenage boy with physical and intellectual disabilities.
Both individuals live at home with their families and siblings.
As a personal assistant, you provide support in daily life by creating structure, participating in activities, and building a trusting relationship. The work is shaped according to the individual's needs and can include everything from quiet moments at home and support during the school day, to accompanying them to activities such as youth centers, cultural schools, libraries, or other leisure activities.
Your New Role
Your responsibilities will include:
• Support with personal hygiene, care, and mobility
• Management of tube feeding
• Operation of breathing aids (BIPAP) and monitoring of breathing and general condition
• Support in daily routines and activities
• Accompanying or creating opportunities for leisure activities
• Motivating and supporting training efforts from rehabilitation services
When needed, for example during illness, the work may also involve active monitoring of breathing and oxygen levels.
The work takes place in the home in close collaboration with family and colleagues.
Your Qualifications
We would appreciate it if you are a trained personal assistant, nursing assistant, or childcare worker, or alternatively have another education with a social or educational focus that the employer deems equivalent. However, this is not a requirement.
Requirements
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Some understanding of English, spoken
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work day, evening, and weekend shifts

• Knowledge of tube feeding and breathing aids

Good to Know
The recruitment concerns several permanent full-time positions that begin with a six-month probationary period. Start date is by agreement.
The work is scheduled for day, evening, and weekend shifts according to schedule. Jönköping Municipality always offers 100% employment rate and joint planning where work with other citizens may occur.
For the case involving the girl in her early teens, we particularly welcome applications from female candidates, based on the individual's preferences.
Selection is ongoing, and the first round of interviews is planned for week 33.
This position has been job-evaluated. Trained personal assistant is found in base group D, and untrained personal assistant is found in base group B.
