About the Position Our client is a 42-year-old man who is now looking for additional hourly temporary assistants for his team. He has autism and an intellectual disability. As a personal assistant to him, you will help where his disability limits him in his daily life. For example, with personal care and household tasks. The client does not speak verbally but communicates through body language and the visual support tool. He enjoys being outdoors and going for walks, as well as listening to music. The client is at the developmental level of a young child, so it is important that you are attentive to him and can take your own initiative to come up with fun activities together with the client. Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in daily life as well as with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making daily life run smoothly. Every assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, and therefore work tasks can vary depending on the workplace. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. For this position, you must: Have a manual B driver's license and access to a car Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Tolerate pet hair (a cat lives in the client's home) Be able to swim and accompany the client to the swimming pool Be able to work overnight shifts Be smoke-free (during work hours) Be able to provide an extract from the police record and suspicion register For this position, it is an advantage if you: Have experience with similar work Are calm and patient, with a low-affect approach and can work without stress. Have experience with autism and/or intellectual disability Have experience with visual support tools Share the client's interests, such as being outdoors and going for walks, listening to music. Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Work Hours, Position Level, and Salary The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed. Work hours are scheduled as overnight shifts (21:00–21:00), where on-call/standby time occurs during the night between 00:00 and 02:25. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start date by agreement. Before the position starts, you will go through a paid introduction/onboarding. During the onboarding period, you will receive a contract for a fixed-term hourly employment with an established end date.
