About the Position
Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Certain People with Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you'll provide support in daily life based on each customer's individual needs. The work involves respecting customers' self-determination and integrity while helping ensure their everyday routines run safely and smoothly.
We are now seeking hourly temporary staff for two of our assignments in Stånga on Southern Gotland. The position allows you to work with one customer or combine shifts with both, offering good opportunities for varied working hours:
Assignment 1: 53-year-old man in Stånga Here you provide close support with all daily tasks. Shifts are scheduled during active times 24/7 (day, evening, and night shifts) on both weekdays and weekends.
Assignment 2: 19-year-old male in Stånga Here you provide support in daily life with focus on safety and activity. Work primarily consists of 24-hour shifts (08:00–08:00 with 7 hours standby/on-call time during the night).
Work tasks for both assignments include personal care, assistance with mobility, support with household chores and activities, training, and communication. You'll receive tailored introductions with both customers.
For this position, you must:
Have strong Swedish language skills in both speech and writing
Hold a category B driver's license (automatic transmission vehicle is acceptable) and have access to your own car (as public transport is not available to either customer)
Be comfortable with pets (both customers have dogs and cats at home)
Have good physical fitness, as work with both customers involves mobility assistance and heavy lifting
It is beneficial if you:
Have previous experience working as a personal assistant, in healthcare and elderly care, or similar professions
Personal suitability will be given great weight.
Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary
The current employment form is hourly temporary work as needed, with good opportunities to work with both customers to achieve higher working hours.
Working hours vary and cover day, evening, night, and 24-hour shifts (including on-call time) on both weekdays and weekends.
Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation in accordance with collective agreement.
Start date by agreement.
