About the Position In your role as a personal assistant, you help the customer with what arises in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (The Act on Support and Services for Persons with Disabilities). Each customer is unique and work tasks vary based on individual needs. The work may include, for example, help with mobility, personal care, training and communication, as well as everyday chores and activities inside and outside the home. You respect the customer's self-determination and integrity and help ensure that daily life runs safely and smoothly. For you to thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you and the customer. Since each assistance is unique, we will learn more about you during the recruitment process to create the best possible match. You will receive information about which customer or customers you may work for and how the work is structured in each assignment. At Humana, it is important that both you as an assistant and the customer feel secure in the collaboration. Therefore, all new assistants receive customized introduction training, both to the professional role and to the specific customer you will be working for. Who Are You? We are looking for someone who is good at building positive relationships, has strong commitment, is willing to take responsibility, and adapts easily to new situations. Since all our customers have different needs and wishes, we ask you to answer the selection questions as clearly and thoroughly as possible – this increases the chance that we can match you with the right assignment. We are now looking for someone who meets the following criteria: Has good knowledge of Swedish Has a manual B-class driver's license and access to a car Tolerates pets (cats are in the home) Non-smoker (during work hours) Can work 24-hour shifts Is a swimmer and can accompany customer to a swimming facility It is also advantageous if you: Have experience with alternative communication, picture communication (Pictogram/AAC) Have experience with low-arousal approaches Have experience with mobility aids, for example lifts and return equipment Have experience with similar work Have experience with autism and/or intellectual disability Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours and Employment Type As a temporary hourly worker, you work as needed for our customers in Överkalix. Working hours are scheduled for 24-hour shifts and occur both on weekdays and weekends. The current employment form is "temporary hourly employment," which means work as needed. Before the position starts, you will complete a paid introduction/onboarding period. During the onboarding period, you will receive a contract for a fixed-term temporary hourly employment with an established end date. We would be pleased if you as an applicant are interested in being onboarded and working for both our customers in Överkalix. Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start Date Start date is by agreement. Being Employed at Humana A prerequisite for beginning employment with us at Humana is that you as an applicant can present a valid ID document and any documents proving your right to work in Sweden. To be able to work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. According to legislation, we as an employer are required to request a criminal record extract from all employees who will work as personal assistants to a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you must present an extract from the police's criminal record register and suspicion register before a potential employment.
