We are now seeking personal assistants for our LSS group.
Your Responsibilities
In the LSS group, we work across the municipality with individual persons of varying ages, both children and adults who have been granted personal assistance.
Working as a personal assistant means you support the individual in their daily life and help the person with tasks they cannot manage on their own. The work varies based on the person's needs and functional variation and is carried out, among other places, in the individual's own home.
As a personal assistant, you work from a motivating approach, where you focus on supporting the individual in their daily life to maintain and improve their own abilities. The work is characterized by a social perspective where the individual's needs are central. As a personal assistant, you also support the individual in creating a meaningful everyday life, where safety and responsiveness are important guiding principles.
As a personal assistant, you are offered a varied profession where no two days are the same. In this position, you will work both independently and with colleagues. The work involves day/evening shifts, on-call sleeping shifts, and alternating weekends.
Your Qualifications
We are looking for someone with relevant education to work with people who have functional variation and who has a genuine interest in people.
We are looking for someone who is flexible, creative, positive, collaborative, and has the ability to see solutions and opportunities. You must be able to work independently and take great responsibility, as the work involves working alone with the individual.
You need to be computer literate and be able to express yourself verbally and in writing.
For this position, it is also a requirement that you have a class B driver's license.
Other Information
To be eligible for employment with Västervik Municipality, you must provide an extract from the police criminal record register. Please note that processing time can be up to 2 weeks. You will need to provide your extract if you are offered a position.
