Job Duties We are seeking personal assistants to work on two cases involving children in the city center and on Hisingen. The position involves varied and responsible work where you contribute to safety, quality care, and a functioning daily life during daytime and evening hours. The work includes qualified care services such as secondary monitoring of breathing and management of tracheostomy. You will also work with personal care including toilet assistance, showering, and dressing and undressing. The assignment includes transfers using aids such as ceiling lifts, wheelchairs, and Permobil, tube feeding via pump, as well as maintenance and cleaning of medical equipment. Communication is partly supported by AAC (Alternative and Augmentative Communication). You are expected to contribute to creating structure, routines, and a safe and meaningful daily life. The work is conducted in close collaboration with family members and based on clear written procedures and a low-affect approach. During the training period, supplementary education will take place at Sahlgrenska University Hospital. Your main assignment will be in one or both of the child cases, but joint planning occurs and work in other cases also takes place. Qualifications It is a requirement that you have good knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing, corresponding to at least Swedish 1 or Swedish as a Second Language 1, as documentation and communication are important parts of the work. It is also a requirement that you have experience working with children. Experience with tracheostomy, feeding tubes, or PEG and work with individuals with extensive care needs or acquired brain injury is meritorious. It is also advantageous if you have experience working with children or adults with disabilities and extensive care needs. Care and health education or equivalent education is meritorious, as is experience with documentation in, for example, Treserva. Knowledge of neuropsychiatric disabilities, cerebral palsy, and challenging behavior is viewed positively. Experience with AAC, preferably Tassels and TAKK, is also meritorious. As a person, you are responsible, flexible, and have a strong commitment to the individual's needs. You have good collaboration skills and contribute to a good work environment, while being able to adapt to changed situations. You understand the professional role in someone else's home and can distinguish between private and professional relationships. You are attentive, respectful, and have good interpersonal skills. Furthermore, you are calm, empathetic, and have good emotional regulation skills, especially in challenging situations.
