Blå Assistans is a nationwide non-profit organization. The organization's members form a cooperative that provides personal assistance in accordance with the intentions of the LSS (Act Concerning Support and Service for Persons with Certain Functional Impairments) and under applicable employment law. Blå Assistans offers continuous training in Personal Assistance, First Aid, Fire Safety, Work Environment, and Ergonomics. All employees are offered subsidized wellness benefits. I am a 66-year-old woman living in Kristianstad and I am a member of Blå Assistans because I want self-chosen and self-directed assistance. Blå Assistans takes on the role of employer for my assistants while I myself choose whom I want to employ. I schedule my assistance and determine the assistants' work responsibilities. Each month I receive a report on how my assistance allowance has been used. My provider strives to ensure that both members, assistants, and administrative staff have the competence their work tasks require. You who are applying are welcome to be a woman over 40 years old and you are welcome to be interested in cooking, gardening, taking walks in nature, and enjoying outings such as going to concerts and theater. You who are applying should be social and outgoing. You who are applying must not be allergic to fur as I live with 1 dog.
