Are you our much-needed assistant?
We are seeking a substitute as needed, with the possibility of a permanent position in the base schedule for the right person.
We are now looking for attentive and warm female assistants for our client in Hägersten. Our client is a man in his 50s who lives with his wife in an apartment in Hägersten. He needs support throughout his daily life following an acquired brain injury with severe epilepsy.
Assistance is provided 24/7 and work shifts are scheduled for days, evenings, nights, and weekends. Daytime shifts are staffed with two assistants. We see that you as an applicant can both work independently and be part of a team.
As an assistant, you should be calm, attentive, flexible, and take great responsibility for your tasks. You need to be in good physical condition and enjoy providing quality care. Your tasks include some documentation and naturally communication with the client and those close to him. Therefore, you need good knowledge of Swedish and preferably English. The work includes helping the client with things he cannot do himself, which includes help with household chores, transfers, personal hygiene, cleaning, and laundry. It also means accompanying the client on outings and activities outside the home such as doctor's visits, day activities, etc.
We would appreciate it if you have experience working as a personal assistant, but what matters most is that you have a positive attitude, are reliable, thorough, considerate, and willing to learn. It is an advantage if you have prior experience with nutritional support via PEG, use of inhalers/PEP masks, and other assistive devices such as lifts, wheelchairs/Permobil, and MotoMed, etc.
For the right person, a schedule of approximately 80% is possible.
