Description Arjeplog Municipality is seeking a person for a temporary position as a personal assistant to a man with a disability. Would you like meaningful work where you contribute every day to helping the user live the best life possible? We are looking for a personal assistant for a man in his thirties with a disability. Personal assistance in the disability services field involves providing daily support to people with disabilities. Here our personal assistants work independently with the user but always with support from managers and colleagues. As a personal assistant, your work includes providing support with personal care and daily household tasks, as well as accompanying the user on activities. As a personal assistant, you have the opportunity to get to know a person and together make each day meaningful and unique. Interaction with the user is central to your work, and communication is your primary work tool. In your job, you may have contact with family members, the region, and other stakeholders. You meet regularly with others in your work group to discuss and develop the operations together. Qualifications Education: We are looking for someone who is educated as a support assistant/support personnel or who has other education or experience that the employer deems equivalent. Computer skills and experience with documentation are meritorious. Personal Qualities Great importance will be placed on personal suitability, where flexibility, teamwork ability, and manner of interaction are especially important. As a person, you enjoy working with people and are empathetic; you can understand other people's situations and are motivated by supporting and guiding people toward change. You should be creative, responsible, and attentive, with an ability to respectfully encourage the individual to accomplish tasks. You are patient and understand that change takes time. You can provide adapted support and care based on the individual's needs for help and support in daily life. The work places great demands on you having good collaboration and cooperation skills. You are flexible as the work involves meeting people with different characteristics and needs, where you may need to quickly adapt and prioritize based on the needs that arise in the operations. You need to be calm, persistent, and clear in your body language and have a good and respectful manner with a salutogenic approach, which means you work based on the individual's abilities and resources. The work requires you to be able to work both independently and in a group. You speak and write Swedish fluently.
