Right now I'm looking for a skilled and committed personal assistant who is ready to take care of me. Who am I then? I'm a man over 50 who has an inoperable spinal cord injury. I live in an apartment in central Lund.
Maybe you're a student wanting to earn some extra money or work for someone else and want to supplement your income? An extra plus is if you're flexible and can sometimes step in on short notice. Since you're a temporary employee, some months may have more work and sometimes a bit less.
One requirement we have is that you must have good knowledge of Swedish – both spoken and written!
Respect and empathy are very important qualities for the person we're looking for. You should be flexible and contribute to a positive atmosphere at the workplace and within the staff team.
Life experience – regardless of your own age – is an important plus.
It's desirable that you have healthcare experience and preferably with people who have had the same care needs, so previous assistant work is a merit. However, the most important thing is that the personal chemistry works between us.
The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts on a part-time basis.
The work tasks involve helping me with things such as hygiene, dressing and undressing, activities, personal care and monitoring the spinal cord condition as well as household chores.
