Within the social care administration, approximately 1,200 committed employees work to provide support and care to those in need in our municipality. The work takes place within elderly care, home care, disability services, and social psychiatry, as well as individual and family care.

Disability Services and Social Psychiatry is one of three departments within the social care administration. The department is responsible for LSS residential facilities, day activities, residential support, short-term stays, and personal assistance. We are approximately 250 employees who work with great commitment to place the individual's needs at the center and based on a belief in the individual's own abilities. We work purposefully to ensure that our operations maintain high competence and quality.
Within the department, we work to promote collaboration between workplaces and competence development for our employees. Therefore, we work in collaborative groups where we help each other meet the needs of our operations and share knowledge and ideas between workplaces. This means that as a future employee, you will have a primary workplace where you work the majority of your shifts, and some shifts may be carried out at another workplace.

JOB DUTIES
Being a personal assistant is a qualified and responsible profession that requires personal maturity, flexibility, and attentiveness. The work involves supporting users who have been granted personal assistance in their daily lives based on their needs.
As a personal assistant, it is important to provide safe and good care, support in daily life, and stimulating leisure time. Measures adapted to the individual's circumstances and needs to achieve good living conditions.
As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in the daily life of a cheerful and social 25-year-old. The work involves being present in daily routines and helping to create structure, security, and quality of life. Your tasks include assistance with morning routines, personal hygiene, meals, dressing, and mobility. You will also support the user in getting out, being active, and participating in various activities during the day. Some household help may occur, such as laundry and simple practical tasks.
You need to be attentive and have good intuition, but also the courage to stand up for the user and their needs, both in daily life and in relation to the surrounding environment. We would like to see that you are a positive, engaged, and secure person who dares to take initiative, is resourceful, and is not afraid to pitch in where needed.
As part of the assignment, you may work days and weekends, with occasional evenings.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone interested in working with people who have physical/intellectual disabilities, who is responsible with a respectful manner and approach, and who can work independently. We appreciate if you have good collaboration skills, work based on the individual's needs and own resources.
Requirements:
• B-class driver's license.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.
Merits:
• Experience working as a personal assistant or alternatively in healthcare and care or as deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Studies in healthcare programs, child and youth programs, or other educational training deemed equivalent by the employer.
• Experience with medication administration.
• Experience with assistive devices, such as lifts.

Duration: 6 months or longer. Start date: 2026-10-01 or by agreement.
Working hours: Shift work. Primarily daytime and occasional weekends.
