We at KSJ AB work with personal assistance – the way it should be done! Here you'll meet Karin, Magnus, Sylvia and Bibban with extensive experience, great commitment and a heart for people. We know that good assistance is built on trust, respect and close collaboration. With long and solid experience in personal assistance, both from large and medium-sized companies, we know what it takes to create security, continuity and quality of life for our clients – but also for our important assistants. As an employer, we care about your wellbeing. That's why we offer good conditions, are affiliated with collective agreements and provide a generous wellness allowance. With us, you are important – both to the client and to us! Feel free to visit us at Elbegatan 5 in Malmö - just let us know so we're there first. To ensure safe and secure assistance, we conduct a background check if you become a candidate for the position. If the work involves services to people over 18 years old, you must provide an extract from the criminal record registry. If the work involves services to children, you must submit an extract from the criminal record registry, which will be kept by us for 2 years, in accordance with applicable legislation. Will you become my new assistant? Hi! My name is Cornelia and I'm 11 years old. Right now I'm looking for a new personal assistant who wants to be by my side and help me with things I can't manage on my own. I live in Höganäs municipality - every other week I live with my dad and every other week with my mom, both living in Viken. Besides having the world's best mom and dad, I have a fantastic twin brother Carl and of course our beloved Labradoodle, Amica. I have a rare syndrome called ADNP. This means, among other things, that I have an intellectual disability, ADHD and CVI (cortical visual impairment). That's why I need a trusted person by my side who can help me understand, communicate and make everyday life work – but most importantly, someone who wants to fill our (and your own!) days with joy, mischief, play and wonderful experiences. Who are you? I'm looking for someone who is open, positive, creative, playful and engaged. You need to be able to offer yourself and dare to have fun with me! Since I have difficulty seeing certain things, you need to be able to guide, motivate, inspire and encourage me in my daily life. I can say quite a few words, but sometimes I need your help to make myself understood and communicate what I actually want to say. The work also includes help with, for example, mealtimes, getting dressed and undressed, showering and hygiene, and diaper changes. Experience with water enemas and hypoglycemia (low blood sugar) is a plus. I also use a PEG tube, where I receive certain food and medication, so experience with PEG is a big plus. I have one requirement: you need to be smoke-free. What do I like to do? I love doing things and discovering the world! My favorites include: ● visiting different playgrounds ● going to the stables ● going to the library ● crafting and baking ● listening to music ● dancing ● doing gymnastics I'm a happy girl who loves to laugh and enjoys when things happen. But I can also be stubborn and very determined when I know what I want. 😉 That's why it's important to me that you are confident in yourself, responsive, unafraid in your communication and have a calm, low-key approach. You need to be able to stay calm and be secure even when I challenge you a bit – because yes, I like to test your boundaries now and then! Who am I looking for? I'm looking for a female assistant, and your age doesn't matter much. What's most important is who you are and how you are with me. I want you to: ● see me and my needs ● be engaged and present ● be playful and proactive ● be confident, responsive and patient ● work with a calm, low-key approach ● have good physical strength since the work involves some lifting ● be smoke-free ● have a driver's license for a manual car – this is a requirement It's a plus if you have experience with personal assistance, care work or working with younger children. Experience with PEG is also a big plus. When will you work? You will mainly work with me after school on weekdays, plus two weekends a month and during my school breaks. Before a potential employment, you'll have the opportunity to shadow my current assistants. This way you'll get a chance to get to know me, my routines and work tasks at a comfortable pace. You'll also be able to ask questions and get support from my existing assistants. What's most important to me is that you feel secure in your role – and that we enjoy being together! I have quite a bit to teach you, but I promise you'll also learn a lot from me. If you help me, I'll help you – win-win, okay? Maybe you're exactly who I've been looking for!
