Job Responsibilities
We are seeking a personal assistant for our client, a boy who will soon be 15 years old, living with his family in Stångby. The boy attends school during the day and currently does not have a dedicated assistant at school. Furuboda is looking for someone who can meet the boy at home after school and work afternoons/evenings, weekends, and during school breaks. This is approximately an 80% position and includes working every other weekend.
You need to be responsible and attentive, providing support in all daily activities to ensure the boy's life and routine function as well as possible. This includes assistance with personal hygiene, mobility, meals, and activities. The boy has motor difficulties and severe visual impairment, and communicates through body language and sounds. He is a happy boy who enjoys outings, being outdoors, visiting the library, and likes being read to. It is important to be responsive to his daily mood and form. Suggestions and initiatives for activities and outings are welcome from both the boy and his family, and good and clear communication with the family is important for effective collaboration on the work and assistance.
