About the Assignment
Our client lives with his family in the countryside, about 1 mile outside Åseda in Uppvidinge municipality. It is a calm and peaceful place, and the focus is on being available for our client in all aspects of daily life.
The client is a 69-year-old man with a strong interest in nature, gardening, art, film, popular science literature, and natural sciences. He does not have verbal communication but communicates by spelling with eye blinks. With practice and engagement, it is possible to create a functioning dialogue. Work tasks include personal care, medical interventions such as handling a trach and respirator, as well as support during walks and other calm activities.
Who Are We Looking For?
We are looking for you who have a genuine interest in working with people with special needs and who have the ability to see the person behind the disability. You are confident, attentive, and thorough, while also having a willingness to learn the task and develop in the role. You work closely with our client and his family, which makes good personal chemistry important. Experience in care work is an asset but not a requirement.
Requirements
- you cannot be allergic to fur animals
- driver's license and access to a car
- very good ability to express yourself in Swedish, both spoken and written.
