We are currently seeking 2 personal assistants for a position providing around-the-clock care.
Our client is a 62-year-old man with a muscular disease who requires support and assistance 24/7. He is wheelchair-dependent and is transferred using a ceiling lift.
He primarily needs help with his breathing and respiratory equipment. He also requires assistance with dressing and undressing, taking medication, personal hygiene and showering, shopping, meal preparation and organizing meals, as well as help eating. He needs support with routine household tasks such as cleaning and laundry.
You will also accompany the client to hospital and medical appointments.
The man has an interest in cars/motors and animals. He occasionally dog-sits for friends and acquaintances, so you should not have allergies or fear of dogs. He would like the opportunity to participate in shorter activities and outings.
We believe you should be at least 40 years old and have some life experience. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability and ensuring good collaboration between the care team and family.
You are social and outgoing, someone who enjoys planning activities and can motivate others to participate. You are also attentive and empathetic to the client's daily condition and needs.
It is extremely important that you have excellent Swedish language skills, both spoken and written, for good communication between client and assistant, and to properly document important information.
Work Hours
Shifts are:
Day shift 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM
Evening shift 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Employment level approximately 60%
You should have a B-class driver's license, as the client lives some distance from the city center.
We require a criminal background check from the police.
