We are now seeking an open and curious person with heart in the right place who wants to work as a personal assistant to our client, a 15-year-old boy living in Taberg. About the position: Our client is a 15-year-old boy who lives with his family in Taberg. The boy has autism and intellectual disability. He needs support in his daily life and during activities that are part of it. During daytime the boy is at school without assistance, so you will work as a personal assistant in the afternoons/evenings as well as on weekends and during holidays. Work tasks include personal care, support with communication, helping with various activities and general daily life support. As a personal assistant your workplace is wherever our client is located, which can be at home, at the swimming pool, by the lake or in the forest. Some of the client's favorite activities are swimming and being outdoors exploring nature – this boy rarely says no to a lovely forest walk among pine trees, pinecones and animals! Who we are looking for: We are looking for you with an interest in working pedagogically and motivatingly. We believe you are a stable and open person who meets your surroundings with confidence and positivity. You are adaptable in the various situations that arise and you have good initiative, which is of great importance and value in our client's daily life. It is a merit if you have previous experience with small children, autism or equivalent. Of course, for this role you need a genuine interest in working with children, an open and curious mind with great understanding, and the ability to be a safe haven for support, comfort and closeness. Also understanding that you will be in the home with the entire family. To be considered for the position, you must be smoke-free and have a good command of Swedish, both spoken and written. You should be curious and forward-thinking. You cannot be allergic to chlorine or fur animals as swimming occurs and there are both a cat and a dog in the home. A driver's license and access to a car are desirable but not required.
