The Disability Care Service in Umeå Municipality aims to be a resource that, through proximity and collaboration, strengthens people's ability to live an independent life. A personal assistant helps someone with basic needs, such as eating, getting dressed, washing, and communicating. The assistance is individually tailored and should provide increased opportunities for people with disabilities to live an independent life. Your Responsibilities The service user is a young girl living at Grisbacka who needs support with daily activities and personal care. This includes assistance with personal hygiene, meals, mobility, and meaningful activities. You will also be responsible for continuous supervision based on the user's need for safety and security. The service user also enjoys having quiet time, reading books, swinging, and cycling. About You As a personal assistant, you need to be attentive and empathetic, with the ability to prioritize the service user's needs. We're looking for someone who is creative, proactive, and able to create meaningful activities based on the user's needs and interests. You are stress-resilient, flexible, and able to think ahead. Additionally, you are responsible, can work independently, and have a respectful and professional manner when interacting with the service user and their family. We place great importance on personal suitability. We would appreciate it if you have training as a nursing assistant with some years of experience in care work. However, these are not requirements—your personal qualities are what matter most. To communicate with service users, family members, and colleagues, and to write and access care documentation, you must have good knowledge of Swedish in both spoken and written form. Heavier lifting may occur; assistive devices should be used. We warmly welcome your application! Other Information This is a permanent position, part-time approximately 50%, starting as soon as possible by agreement. Working hours are daytime, evening, and weekends. The position also includes on-call duty. Before a job offer is made, we ask you to provide an extract from the Police Register of Convictions.
