About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (The Act Concerning Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a happy and social girl aged 1.5 years old who lives with her family in central Stockholm. She needs help with physical activities, so it is very important that her future assistants are interested in movement training, as this is part of the job with her. Some other tasks may include preparing her food, managing medication, washing tubes, changing diapers, arranging the inhaler, PEP mask and cough machine. We seek assistants who are attentive and can prioritize between training, play, care and rest based on the girl's condition and current needs. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, committed and responsible. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant for the girl, you need to have good chemistry with both the girl and the family, and it is therefore especially important to be empathetic, attentive and flexible. You have an ease for creating security and attachment, and we also assume that you are passionate about working with children. We also see that you are calm and secure even in stressful or acute situations, and that you have patience and understand that you need to collaborate with the entire family. For this position, you must: have good knowledge of Swedish and English be completely smoke and nicotine-free not wear perfume or strong scents while working have good physical ability to lift, carry and work ergonomically wish to work long-term and create continuity for the girl For this position, it is an advantage if you: have experience in physiotherapy or rehabilitation for children have experience with alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) can accompany treatment trips 4 times a year to different parts of the world for approximately 1-3 weeks are a nursing assistant can work closely with parents and follow their wishes Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level and Salary The current employment form is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" and we currently have three open positions. Position 1: 62.5% – Monday-Friday: 15:00-20:00 Position 2: 30% – Saturday-Sunday: 07:00-13:00 (every weekend) Position 3: 25% – Monday-Friday: 07:00-09:00 (working hours may be adjusted somewhat due to transportation service to preschool) It may be possible to combine the positions in different ways. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start date immediately or by agreement.
