About the Position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's autonomy and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. We are looking for you to work as a personal assistant for a cheerful and lively teenage girl with an intellectual disability. The girl alternates living with her father approximately 2 miles outside Älmhult and with her mother who lives in Älmhult. The girl has respiratory issues and uses a respiratory mask at night. As a person, you are calm and good with children/young people. You are responsible, attentive, flexible and humble, have a positive outlook on life, and are willing to contribute to a pleasant and stimulating everyday existence. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and takes responsibility. It is also important that you can take your own initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "hourly employment," which means work as needed with working hours during day, evening, but primarily overnight. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation in accordance with collective agreement. Start date immediately or by agreement.
