About the Position
You will work in the boy's home, just outside Huskvarna, where he lives with his family. The position involves morning shifts Monday-Friday from 05:30 until the client arrives at school.
Your duties include preparing and assisting with morning routines and preparing for the school day, as well as driving the client to school. Adapting communication, pacing, and maintaining a calm demeanor are part of the work. As a personal assistant, you play an important and responsible role in creating structure, safety, and predictability in the client's daily life.
The client enjoys watching YouTube videos on computer and phone, taking walks in the forest, and collecting things.
Requirements
We are looking for a mature and trustworthy person with experience as a personal assistant and knowledge of epilepsy. You have documented experience working with autism, preferably in more complex care situations. You have knowledge of and practical experience with low-arousal approaches and are experienced working with alternative communication methods, such as picture-based systems. You must have a valid driver's license and access to a car. You cannot have pets, as the client is allergic to cats.
