About the Workplace Furuboda Assistans is a private personal assistance provider in southern Sweden with roots in the non-profit organization Föreningen Furuboda. About the Position I am looking for a personal assistant for a 50% temporary position covering a sick leave, with the possibility to continue as an hourly temporary worker long-term. Working hours vary between day, evening, and weekend shifts, making this position suitable for you if you are a student or looking for flexible extra work. I am a man in my 40s who uses a wheelchair following a stroke, have extensive care needs, and communicate through letter spelling. You don't need prior experience with this, but you need to be patient, attentive, and willing to learn. The work includes personal care, assistance with transfers, household tasks, errands, and support with activities that create a meaningful daily life. You will sometimes work alongside a colleague, so good collaboration skills are important. Experience in personal assistance is a merit, but the greatest emphasis is placed on you being positive, responsible, and having a solution-focused approach to work.
