Would you like to become my personal assistant?
I am an 18-year-old young man living in Västra Frölunda in Göteborg. I have autism and intellectual disability and am non-speaking. I communicate primarily through body language and need support with most things to make my daily life function.
I am an active person and enjoy spending time outdoors, taking walks, riding a tricycle, and swimming. I enjoy movement and doing things, but I also need calm, clarity, and predictability in my everyday life.
About the Job
As my personal assistant, you will help me with activities and tasks in my daily life where I need support. You will also help me have an active, stimulating, and meaningful leisure time.
I need an assistant who can take their own initiative and come up with suggestions for things we can do together. I need encouragement and support to try new activities and develop, while at the same time it is important that you are attentive and can sense when I need calm and recovery.
The work involves, among other things, helping me with personal care and other daily activities as well as accompanying me on leisure activities, outings, and other things I want to do. We will be both at home and out doing various activities.
Working hours are generally 14:30–20:00 on weekdays and 10:00–20:00 on weekends. Right now we are mainly looking for an extra assistant who can step in as needed and work occasional weekends. The possibility of more hours may exist.
Who Are You?
I am looking for someone who is confident, calm, and engaged and who enjoys working closely with another person. You need to be able to work independently, take responsibility and own initiative, while also working well together with the others on my assistant team.
It is important that you are attentive and work in a low-key manner. You need to be able to stay calm even when things do not go as planned and be able to adapt to my needs.
Experience with autism, intellectual disability, personal assistance, or care and support is a merit, but personal suitability is very important.

You are 18 years of age or older
You are smoke- and drug-free
A criminal record check must be available upon possible employment
