About the position Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Services for Persons with Certain Disabilities). In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that arises in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves safeguarding the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to a smooth-running everyday life. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored to the client's life, so work tasks may vary depending on the workplace. The client is a 20-year-old man living on Ingarö. He is now starting a three-year program in Journalism and Digital Media. Due to a functional disability, he uses a wheelchair, and as his personal assistant you will help him in his everyday life, with his studies, and with various leisure activities. Work tasks include personal care, assistance with all transfers, support with daily routines, household chores, and accompanying him on trips and activities. The client is goal-oriented, easy to communicate with, and has a strong interest in sports and athletics. Greeting from the client I am now looking for a personal assistant. I am a 20-year-old man with a functional disability and wheelchair user, living on Ingarö. The position involves being a support in everyday life and contributing to a safe, functioning, and meaningful existence. I will be studying full-time at Södertörn University in Huddinge. My interests consist of sports and leisure activities of various kinds. I am goal-oriented and easy to communicate with. Who are you? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are looking for someone who is driven, social, responsible, and self-directed. You have good collaboration skills, are flexible, and take initiative easily. For personal assistant work to feel right, it is important that there is good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client. We are looking for you who meet the following: Have good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written Are driven, social, and self-directed Are responsible, flexible, and have good collaboration skills Have access to your own car to reach the client It is also a merit if you: Share the client's interest in sports and athletics Have previous experience working as a personal assistant or similar work Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Employment Level: The current employment arrangement is "As long as the assistance assignment lasts" with full-time hours (approximately 38 hours per week). Work hours are scheduled as: Monday to Thursday: 08:00–17:00 Friday: 08:00–15:00 Salary: Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement.
