We are now seeking a female personal assistant for a man who lives in his own apartment in central Hässleholm. About the Client and the Position The client has visual impairment (blindness), hearing loss, diabetes, and a tracheostomy (trach). He is an active person who enjoys taking walks and cooking. Several days a week he participates in Day Activities (DV). Working hours are between 08:30 and 17:00. The position is approximately 63% full-time with immediate start. Job Responsibilities As a personal assistant, you will support the client in his daily life, both at home and outside. You will assist him with cooking and accompany him on his appreciated walks and other activities. A large part of the work involves facilitating communication and creating a safe structure in his everyday life based on his conditions with visual and hearing impairment. The position also includes self-care and practical management related to his diabetes, as well as daily care, assistance, and monitoring of his tracheostomy (trach). Qualifications We are seeking only female applicants for this position. You need to have experience with diabetes management and knowledge and experience working with tracheostomy (trach). Since good communication and clarity are essential in daily life, very good Swedish language skills are required, both spoken and written. It is advantageous if you have previously worked with people who have visual and/or hearing impairment. As a person, you are confident, attentive, patient, and proactive, with good teaching abilities that enable you to easily create a functional daily life together with the client.
