Personal assistant needed for customer with autism and epilepsy
We are now seeking a dedicated and responsible personal assistant for a young man with autism and epilepsy. The work involves providing support in daily life with a strong focus on safety, structure, and respect. The customer lives near the city center.
About the Position
As a personal assistant, you will be an important support in the customer's daily life – both at home and during daily activities. The work is performed in a two-person team and requires good collaboration skills.
Responsibilities
- Support with meals, hygiene, and personal care (including diaper changes)
- Medication handling and administration (via dosette box)
- Communication using visual aids and symbols
- Support during daily activities
- Interpret the environment and create safety during transitions between different tasks
- Ensure a calm and adapted environment with regard to sound, light, and structure
- Participate in and contribute to a meaningful and stimulating daily life
Important Work Methods
- All work should be done at a calm pace with good planning ahead
- Communication is continuous – always talk with the customer and include him
- Use visual aids before and during different tasks
- Adjust lighting and sound to reduce the risk of epileptic seizures
- The customer needs to change sitting position regularly (maximum approximately 40 minutes at a time)
- Follow clear routines regarding hygiene, medication, and meals
- Create a safe, structured, and respectful environment

- Are calm, attentive, and responsible
- Have an understanding of autism and epilepsy (experience is a plus)
- Are organized and can work with clear routines
- Have good collaboration skills
- Are comfortable working closely with a person with extensive needs
- Speak and understand Swedish well (required)

Other Information
- Hygiene routines are very important (hand sanitizer, gloves when administering medication, etc.)
