About the Position Personal assistance is a service according to LSS (the Swedish Act on Support and Service for Persons with Certain Disabilities). As a personal assistant, you will mainly help the client with everything that comes up in daily life and with basic needs. Your work involves respecting the client's self-determination and integrity, and contributes to making everyday life run smoothly. Each assistance arrangement is uniquely tailored based on the client's life, so work tasks can vary depending on the workplace. The client is a 22-year-old man who lives in his own apartment in Handen and receives personal assistance around the clock. He has a muscular disease and needs support and help with all aspects of his daily life. Work tasks include assistance with transfers, personal care, rehabilitation training, and everyday chores and activities both at home and outside. The client has a tortoise at home and he prefers to spend time in his home environment, where he enjoys digital creation and entertainment via Xbox, PlayStation, and YouTube. Who Are You? The role of personal assistant places high demands on the ability to build good relationships. We are therefore looking for someone who is attentive, engaged, and responsible. It's also important that you can take initiative and see what needs to be done. To thrive as a personal assistant, there must be good personal chemistry between you as the assistant and the client. For this position, you must: have previous experience working as a personal assistant have good knowledge of Swedish have a B driver's license. An automatic is sufficient, as you will be driving the client in his car to various activities and errands be smoke-free (during working hours) For this position, it is an asset if you: have experience with CPAP machines and cough machines Great weight will be placed on personal suitability. Working Hours, Employment Level, and Salary The current employment form is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts" with an employment level of approximately 45% and 35%. Working hours are scheduled as 15:00–15:00 or 10:00–10:00 as overnight shifts, including 8 hours on-call time on weekdays and 6 hours on-call time on weekends. On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the client attends day activities. During this time, no assistance is provided, but the assistant drops off and picks up the client there. Fixed hourly wage by agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start Date: August 24, 2026, or by agreement.
