About the Position In your role as a personal assistant, you will primarily help the client with everything that comes up in their daily life. Personal assistance is a service under LSS (the Act on Support and Service for Persons with Disabilities). You respect the client's self-determination and integrity, and contribute to making everyday life run smoothly. The client's individual needs guide your workday, and your work can include, for example, assistance with mobility, personal care, training and communication, as well as household tasks and activities both inside and outside the home. For you to thrive as a personal assistant, it's important that there is good personal chemistry between you as an assistant and the client. We are now looking for someone who matches the following: Wants to work with a 6-year-old girl living in Kalix Has good Swedish language skills Tolerates pets (a cat and dog live in the home) Is comfortable working in a school environment and collaborating with educators and parents Since the position involves work with children, a criminal record check is required Is a non-smoker (during work hours) It is also advantageous if you: Have experience with similar work Have experience with tube feeding and autism Have experience working with children Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability. Work Hours, Position Level, and Salary: The current employment form is "for as long as the assistance assignment lasts." Before the position starts, you will go through a paid introduction/onboarding. During the onboarding period, you will receive a contract for a fixed-term hourly position with a set end date. We are looking for someone interested in a position of approximately 80%. The position involves work during daytime, evening, and night shifts on both weekdays and weekends. Work shifts are scheduled 07:00-16:30 and 18:00-07.00, with standby time occurring 01:00-06:00. During school weeks, the client is in school Monday to Thursday from 08:00–12:00, and you will be there to support her during the school day. Fixed hourly wage according to agreement and other compensation according to collective agreement. Start date is immediate or by agreement. The end date for the assignment is not yet set. Working at Humana A prerequisite for starting employment with us at Humana is that you as an applicant can provide a valid ID document and any documents that prove your right to work in Sweden. To work as a personal assistant, you must be at least 18 years old. Under Swedish law, we as an employer are required to request a record extract from all employees who will work as a personal assistant to a child under 18 years old. Therefore, you need to provide a criminal record check and suspicion register extract from the police before possible employment.
